AACON General Contractors was the Prime Contractor on this Design/Build project. The project consisted of building a 13,500 Sq. Ft. Truck Maintenance Facility. Other amenity’s included:

Community Ventures Corporation
Louisville, KY

AACON General Contractors was the Prime Contractor on the Community Ventures Corporation project. The AACON Team worked closely with the chosen Architect to help fulfill the client’s needs. Many “Unknowns" can occur when working on a renovation project. Since AACON worked extremely close with the client, minimum change orders occurred and the project was completed on-time and within budget. The Community Ventures Corporation Project consisted of a complete demolition of the interior of a 9,000 sq. ft. building, complete build out and an exterior renovation was necessary as well. Other amenity’s included:

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
Louisville, KY

AACON General Contractors has partnered with one of its Mentor Companies, Abel Construction to undergo this construction project. AACON is the Prime Contractor on the CASA project. The AACON Team is working closely with the Abel Construction Design Team to help the CASA Organization turn their dream of having a building for its staff into reality. With constant communication, even with very strict budget constraints, we have been able to design a facility that will fulfill the needs of the CASA staff. CASA is a non-profit organization that assists neglected and abused children in the Kentucky and Southern Indiana area.

Army Corps of Engineers – Warriors In Transition Project
Ft. Stewart, GA

AACON General Contractors partnered with Alutiiq, one of its Alaskan Native 8(a) partners on this project. AACON General Contractors was the prime subcontracting partner on the Warrior in Transition Project located at Ft. Stewart Army Base. The AACON Team worked closely with Alutiiq and its Design Team to help the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Design and Construct a 14,800 sq. ft. facility specifically designed to enable the transition of our severely wounded service members. The project was completed on-time and within budget.

LG&E Waterside Station
Louisville, KY

AACON constructed a parking structure for LG&E. AACON was the Prime Contractor on this project. Project consisted of taking undeveloped land and provided 15 fenced in parking spaces, complete with brick columns and exterior lighting in a downtown, urban setting. Project was delivered on-time and within budget.

Brown Forman
Louisville, KY

AACON General Contractors was the Prime Contractor on the Demo of existing office space and complete build-out of Executive Vice President’s Office Suites. AACON had to demo existing electrical and HVAC and add new. Project was completed on-time and within the customers budget.

Ware Energy
Louisville, KY

This was a Design/Build project to construct an 8,000 sq. ft. Boiler Training Facility. AACON had to erect a crane in order to lift/elevate boilers to allow the Ware Energy Staff to have the ability to maintain and service the boilers. AACON also constructed a 7,200 sq. ft. Mechanical Warehouse Office Building for Ware Energy.
 

Ft. Knox Army Base
Ft. Knox, KY

This project consisted of the demobilization of Barracks at Ft. Knox Army Base located in Kentucky. AACON was the prime subcontractor to one of our companies Alaskan Native 8(a) partners, Alutiiq. Project consisted of demobilizing eight (8) barrack buildings in one area, and six (6) company ops buildings in another area. Work included concrete demolition, grading and seeding, rock removal, removal of electrical panel and removal of secondary conductors from meter, etc.

Parts Unlimited, Inc.
LaGrange, KY

AACON was the prime contractor on the Parts Unlimited project located in LaGrange, KY. The project consisted of the build-out of eight (8) new offices and four (4) additional bathrooms. AACON also constructed a Mezzanine for Extra storage space.

General Services Administration
Louisville, KY

AACON was prime subcontractor to one of its Alaskan Native 8(a) partners, KISAQ, LLC. AACON was responsible for painting the entire area which houses the Army Corps of Engineers on the 9th floor of the Romano Mazzoli Federal Building located in Louisville, KY. Project was delivered ahead of schedule and within budget and had zero complaints from the client.

AACON was prime subcontractor to one of its Alaskan Native 8(a) partners, KISAQ, LLC. AACON was responsible for demolition of existing carpet, added new carpet tile and painted the entire area which houses the Army Corps of Engineers on the 1st and 8th floor of the Romano Mazzoli Building located in Louisville, KY. This project was also delivered ahead of schedule and within budget.

Louisville, KY

AACON was prime subcontractor to one of its Alaskan Native 8(a) partners, KISAQ, LLC. AACON was responsible for renovating the SBA office on the 1st Floor of the Romano Mazzoli Building located in Louisville, KY. This project consisted of the construction of a new wall to separate one large room into two separate rooms. AACON also constructed two new offices, added three doors, and relocated light fixtures. Project completed on-time and within budget.

Bowing Green, KY

AACON was prime subcontractor to one of its Alaskan Native 8(a) partners, KISAQ, LLC. AACON was responsible for the demolition of the jury room at the Warren County Justice Center located in Bowling Green, KY. After demolition was complete AACON renovated the jury room which included new ceiling grid with tegular tile, new lighting layout, new carpet and new casework with sink. Project was completed on-time and within budget.

General Services Administration
Paducah, KY

AACON was prime subcontractor to one of its Alaskan Native 8(a) partners, KISAQ, LLC. AACON was responsible for running electrical and data conduit from the first floor server room to the 3rd floor courtroom. AACON also had to install electrical and data boxes into the courtroom floor. Project was completed two weeks early and within budget.

BAE Systems
Louisville, KY

AACON was prime contractor responsible for demo of approximately a 12,000 sq. ft. area that was existing offices. Project consisted of asbestos abatement, mold remediation, all studs, drywall and carpet to be removed from the premises. Project was completed on-time.

BASF
Louisville, KY

AACON was prime contractor responsible for demo of existing roof and replacement. This was an extremely dangerous project. The AACON team completed the project with zero injuries and completed the project two weeks early.

Sud-Chemie
Louisville, KY

AACON was prime contractor responsible for the demolition of an existing restroom in a chemical facility located in Louisville, KY. This project consisted of adding new toilets and toilet partitions, sinks and four new showers. The entire restroom was re-tiled and completed ahead of schedule and within the client’s budget.

GSA Mazzoli Building, 9th Floor Paint & Carpet, COE Space
Louisville, KY

This project required removal of flaking paint, and the repair and patch of damaged drywall and plaster walls prior to painting. Existing carpet, pad, and rubber base were also removed prior to the painting of all walls and door frames on the 9th floor, and installation of new floor coverings throughout Suite 951. Subcontractors had to work around existing furniture systems and ensure protection of all furnishings, floors, and other surfaces not receiving paint or new installation. This contract was performed on weekdays after business hours and on weekends so that renovations would not disrupt day-to-day operations.

GSA Mazzoli Building Rooms 137 & 837 for COE
Louisville, KY

This project consisted of 1st Floor renovations to GSA’s Mazzoli Building which included the addition and relocating of electric floor outlets, removal of existing carpet and installation of new flooring, and painting. Wall base was replaced, repainted, and repaired where necessary in addition to the re-painting of all walls and door trims. This contract was performed on weekdays after business hours and on weekends so that renovations would not disrupt day-to-day operations.

GSA Mazzoli Building Social Security (SBA) Space
Louisville, KY

This project required the construction of a demising wall and for Kisaq to provide new wood doors with metal frames, furnish and install new cove base, furnish and supply electrical outlets, relocate existing lighting, and verify sprinkler placement and locations. Since this was an occupied space, subcontractors were required to complete work on weekdays after business hours and on weekends so that renovations would not disrupt day-to-day operations.

GSA Bowling Green Federal Building, 3rd Floor Jury Room
Louisville, KY

This project required the removal and replacement of various fixtures, existing carpet, ceiling tiles, and light fixtures. Wall cabinets and a base cabinet were built using a wood finish that matched the existing woodwork with a laminate counter top. Electrical circuits and a telephone jack were installed. All appropriate rooms were painted and had new carpeting and light fixtures installed. A flat screen TV and DVD player were also mounted and installed to the customer’s specifications.

GSA Mazzoli Building, 9th Floor Restrooms
Louisville, KY

This project consisted of making the 9th floor Restrooms better handicapped accessible by installing automatic door closers and new partitions and grab bars in the restrooms.

U.S. Courthouse, Audio/Visual Systems
Paducah, KY

This project consisted of installing a new audio/visual system in Courtroom 2 of the Paducah Courthouse. Provided conduit and new electrical service for monitors, provided new racks, new junction boxes, and cable raceway.
