Michael Lathon, President of AACON General Contractors

    As President and majority owner of AACON General Contractors, Michael Lathon provides strategic direction and oversight across all company operations. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he brings the discipline, accountability, and mission focus instilled through military service into every aspect of AACON’s work. With nearly 20 years of construction industry experience, Michael guides the company’s growth while ensuring projects are executed with quality, safety, and a strong commitment to both clients and employees.

Troy Ansert, CEO and Founder of AACON General Contractors

    As Chief Executive Officer of AACON General Contractors, Troy Ansert serves as the company’s visionary, guiding long-term growth and strategic direction. He has built extensive relationships with clients and partners across the country, positioning AACON to pursue and capture new opportunities nationwide. In addition to leading business development, Troy remains closely engaged with active projects—monitoring schedule progress, quality, and budget to ensure consistent performance and client satisfaction.

Justin Cotton, Operations and Contruction Manager of AACON General Contractors

  • Operations & Construction Manager

    Justin Cotton directs day-to-day execution across projects, ensuring field operations align with company standards for safety, quality, and schedule performance. His background as a project manager, analyst, and Lean Six Sigma practitioner equips him to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and resolve challenges with data-driven solutions. Justin is experienced in leveraging Procore and USACE RMS for consistent project controls and reporting, and maintains familiarity with Primavera P6 to support schedule development and coordination.

Scott DeBerry, Director of Sales and Estimating for AACON General Contractors

    Scott Deberry leads a team of estimators while keeping the company’s pursuits aligned with its Ideal Client Profile (ICP) under the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). With more than 30 years of construction estimating experience, he brings a deep understanding of cost analysis, competitive strategy, and client needs. Scott’s leadership ensures AACON targets the right opportunities while delivering accurate, disciplined estimates that support successful execution in the field.

Scottie Craig, AACON General Superintendent

    Scottie Craig brings more than 20 years of federal construction experience to his role as AACON’s General Superintendent. He oversees field operations nationwide, coordinating project schedules, site safety, and subcontractor performance to ensure successful execution in occupied and mission-critical environments. In addition to leading field delivery, Scottie mentors AACON’s younger superintendents, passing on his knowledge and ensuring the next generation of field leaders are prepared to uphold AACON’s standards of safety, quality, and disciplined execution.

Becky Duncan, Director of Strategic Marketing for AACON General Contractors

    Becky Duncan leads brand positioning, marketing strategy, and corporate communications that strengthen the company’s presence and identity. She oversees outreach, collateral, and digital platforms to ensure consistency in how AACON connects with clients and partners. Becky also directs proposal development, ensuring submissions are compliant, compelling, and aligned with client priorities. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard, she brings an analytical, disciplined approach to both marketing and proposal strategy.

Shanna Cotton, Human Resources Manager of AACON General Contractors

    Shanna Cotton manages AACON’s Human Resources, overseeing recruiting, onboarding, and employee development to build a strong and capable workforce. She ensures compliance with employment standards, supports training and safety initiatives, and fosters a culture rooted in AACON’s core values of Excellence, Loyalty, and Integrity. Shanna plays a vital role in aligning people strategy with company goals, helping AACON remain both a trusted federal contractor and an employer of choice.

Jennifer Arnett, Controller of AACON General Contractors

    Jennifer Arnett oversees AACON’s financial management and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance across all projects and corporate activities. She manages budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, providing leadership with critical insights that support informed decision-making and long-term planning. Jennifer also oversees internal controls, audits, and financial compliance.
