Air National Guard: Blacksnake Boulevard Road Project

AACON delivered this project to the Air National Guard in the summer of 2020. The statement of work included the removal of an existing gravel road, the installation of a new drainage system, the installation of a new asphalt road, and the application of surface markings. Special attention was given to establishing a lay down area that did not interfere with base operations. AACON also hydroseeded all areas disturbed by the construction. The challenge was working with the base to minimize the schedule due to the work site being the main access road for the installation. AACON delivered the project ahead of schedule working through many bad weather days that might have shut down the site. But AACON’s commitment and relationships with our subcontractors we were able to finish the project early. The client was extremely impressed by the AACON team’s ability to deliver the project ahead of schedule and on-budget without any modifications and zero safety incidents.
